Ring Size
A measurement that shows the circumference and size of jewellery as well as smart rings, also known as ring size.
Instruments to measure
A stick analogous to sizing
You can determine the size of rings by using a paper, metal, or plastic ring sizer (a gauge) or by measuring the inner diameter an existing ring fit.
Ring sticks are instruments used to determine the dimensions of rings. They can be made from plastic, wood, aluminum, or any other material. For precise measurement, digital ringsticks can be employed.
Systems for measuring
International standard
ISO 8653 - 2016 defines standards for sizes of rings. It measures the diameter of the ring in millimetres. ISO sizes are widely used to measure the circumference of rings in Austria, France, Germany, Belgium, Scandinavia (Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Iceland), as well as other countries within Continental Europe
