Allyson Felix
Allyson Melissa Felix was born in Los Angeles, California on November 18th 1985. Paul Felix served as an ordained minister within Sun Valley at Master's Seminary. Marlean Felix taught at Balboa Magnet. Felix's ability to compete in athletics was apparent from the time she started attending Los Angeles Baptist High School. Within a short time after her first attempt, Felix was second in the 200 meter race at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix agreed to sign a contract with Adidas for a professional career with Adidas in 2003, and later enrolled in University of Southern California to learn about elementary education. Felix was presented with her first Olympic award at 2004 Summer Olympics In Athens Greece. Felix ran 200m in 22.18s, setting a new junior world record. In 2005, the Helsinki World Championships saw her becoming the youngest female to win the 200 meter race. She defended this title and beat her Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix was consistently within the top three throughout her events in the Olympics which took place in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
